General Orthodontic Information for the Public
If you have general questions about braces/orthodontic treatment, or other general questions related to orthodontics or orthodontists, contact marketing@aaortho.org. Information about orthodontic treatment for children, teens and adults, along with information on careers in orthodontics, educational requirements to become an orthodontist, and resources for students doing reports can be found on www.braces.org. The AAO regrets that questions about a specific individual’s diagnosis, treatment plan, appliances, etc. cannot be answered. Please consult an AAO member orthodontist.

Orthodontic Product Questions
Because each patient is unique, the orthodontic materials and treatment methods used are best determined by each patient's orthodontist in consultation with the patient. Therefore, the AAO neither evaluates nor takes a position on orthodontic materials or treatment methods used by our members. Instead, we recommend you contact one or more AAO-member orthodontists to discuss your orthodontic concerns. To obtain a list of AAO-member orthodontists near you, check the orthodontist locator service, call 1-800-STRAIGHT, or ask your family dentist for a referral.

Membership Information
If you are an AAO member and would like to update your contact information, such as addresses or phone number, then log into AAOmembers.org. Once you have logged into the site, select the membership directory from the home page, and then click on your name on the left side of the screen. This will allow you to update your personal contact information. If you need to change something that is not accessible to your (such as your last name) please contact AAO central office at 800-424-2841.

If you would like a referral to an AAO member orthodontist who is practicing outside the U.S. or Canada, contact international@aaortho.org.
